About China Cafe
Located at 227 W Fayette St, Syracuse, NY 13202, China Cafe operates as a chinese restaurant serving Syracuse in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Syracuse; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 AMβ10 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach China Cafe at (315) 478-0888; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, chinacafeny.com.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 179 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese restaurants in Syracuse.
Syracuse is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Syracuse peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

An excellent little restaurant. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and the prices were very fair. They have an amazing lunch special where you can get a plate of food and a side soup for less than $10. Itβs hard to find deals like that, especially these days, so if youβre in downtown Syracuse and you want to get lunch, you have to come here!

Best Chinese food in Syracuse. The ladies who run this place work their tails off, and always do it with a smile. They are always so kind to my family, and make our large family order exactly the way we like it. The food is always delicious, consistent and tastes fresh. Definitely recommend π
